​Governance continues to be one of the most vital and talked-about topics within the global Microsoft SharePoint community in 2012. As a part of its Predicts 2012 series, Gartner predicted that by 2016, 20 percent of CIOs in regulated industries will lose their jobs for failing to implement the discipline of information governance successfully. This is a strong statement, but, based on my time working with organizations around the world on the subject, also no great surprise.

Recently, I blogged about my  experience at Share 2012 in Atlanta, including moderating a panel entitled Real World SharePoint Governance with experts Sarah Haase, Susan Hanley, Richard Harbridge, and Adam Quinn. I’m happy to share that video footage of the entire lively and informative discussion is now available here.
