The Truth Behind Unemployment Rates

A recent article on Inc.Wire really jumped out at me – Job Openings in March Highest Since July 2008. The article examined how job opportunities have continued to increase, yet hiring remains stagnant.  Why is that the case?

The number of job openings out there continue to grow, and from being a member of the  Human Resources team, I am confident to say this holds true at AvePoint.  We seek the “best of the best” in all departments,  looking for hard-working, motivated individuals, who want to contribute to our company’s success.  In this competitive field, how do we look to stand out from the crowd? . 
 
There are two main takeaways here for me:
 
1. We as a company, not just as a Human Resources department, need to continue to expand our network and build relationships with our clients and partners to evangelize that AvePoint is a place that everyone wants to work.   
 
2. Unfortunately, this also means that if we are trying to find the “best of the best” out there, then other employers are doing the same. This means that we need to make sure our employees continue to believe that AvePoint is the best place for them to work.
 

So, what do we do?  We continue to make AvePoint a better place to work by fostering a strong sense of camaraderie. We represent AvePoint with confidence and poise, regardless of the situation at hand. Lastly, we continue to place the utmost value on our workforce; it’s our loyal, hard-working employees that have helped us get to where we are today, and will be there to help us continue to succeed and innovate. We continue to reward those who bring their A-game into the office each and every day.  And with our record-breaking hiring numbers in April, we are reminded that we’re not slowing down any time soon.  It’s all very exciting, if you ask me.
