AvePoint Management Meetings took place this month at Global HQ in Jersey City, NJ, and I was thrilled to take part in the open dialogue meeting setting.  I also was asked to present what my team has been up to since I started four months ago as well as all of our big ideas and strategic plans for 2012.  I learned a lot, and had the opportunity to meet a bunch of folks from around the world that I’ve only worked with via email.  It was wonderful. 
 
My role as Vice President of Global Marketing is one of strategy yes, but also of being my company’s biggest fan.  I hope that everyone felt my excitement and passion around where I want to steer our message.  It was utterly inspiring to listen to everyone present and show all the hard work they put in over the last 10 years.   It was palpable just how excited and energized everyone is for the rolling launch of DocAve 6, for bringing our Governance Automation product to market, and to continue to be a thought leader in the SharePoint community. Personally, I have worked around AvePoint for a decade – being on the inside now is fantastic.  Are there processes that need fixing?  Absolutely.  Can we do better with our products, messages, and services?  Always.  But the one thing that I wouldn’t change is that everyone across the board is wicked smart, respectful, ethical, and a class act.  I’m very proud to be an official part of the team and I can’t wait to #MIS (Make It Shine) this year – across all avenues, 24/7, where the sun never sets at AvePoint.
